Current research projects
Our research group is mainly centered around two research topics:
Prokaryotic cytoskeletons
We are using in vitro reconstitution and evolutionary approaches to understand cytoskeletal systems in bacteria and archaea.
Emergence of membrane identities
We rebuild the biochemical systems that generate membrane identities important for intracellular trafficking.
For both research directions we combine protein biochemistry and biomimetic membranes as well fluorescence microscopy and computational image analysis.
